Foundations of Meditation
Think you can’t meditate? In this six week course, you will learn the fundamentals of meditation practice. By the end, you will have everything you need to establish a daily meditation practice working to transform your mind and cultivate positive and robust mental states. The course will cover the two foundational meditation practices taught at the London Buddhist Centre: the mindfulness of breathing and cultivation of loving kindness (metta bhavana) meditation. You will learn proper meditation posture, how to work with and transform distraction and difficult mental states in mediation as well as how to develop a lifelong daily meditation routine at home.
